Vida Rivera is a Community Organizer at RISE Colorado and enjoys organizing parents who want to get involved in the Aurora Public School system. Before coming to work for RISE, Vida was a family service worker for a large non-profit in Denver for a Head Start program. She has also taught Spanish and English privately and in the school system. She has an extensive background in Medical Case Management and working for non-profit organizations in the education field and in translation. Vida is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico and grew up in the Caribbean and in Southern California. Vida has a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado, and is currently enrolled at Regis University in a Master’s program. Vida is married with two sons and resides in Denver, Colorado.
