Hari Uprety is a Community Organizer at RISE Colorado. He works to educate, engage, and empower Nepali and Burmese families of Aurora Public Schools. He organizes various workshops such as the Parent Opportunity Gap, Navigating the School System, and helping families to organize their concerns and issues. Prior to Joining to RISE, he served as a District Family Liaison for Special Populations at APS and served as a Case Manager at Ecumenical Refugee and Immigration Services. Hari began his career as an educator and taught high school and undergraduate students for 13 years in Nepal. Hari was a refugee for 18 years in Nepal and despite having challenges and struggling for survival, he earned his Master’s in Education (M.Ed.) from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu Nepal. He is a proud dad of two kids and is currently residing in Aurora, CO.
